Exam preparation
We have developed a very comprehensive plan for helping those who are planning to take the PMI Certification exams.
ESI also has three classroom courses to help individuals pass the gruelling PMP® and PgMP® Examinations. Our courses are:
- PMP® Exam Preparation (2-day classroom course)
- PMP® Exam Power Preparation (4.5-day classroom course)
- PgMP® Exam Preparation (3-day classroom course)
Important: ESI highly recommends that delegates who take the PMP® Exam Preparation or PgMP® course should have a certain level of knowledge or experience beforehand.
PMP® candidates should have taken our fundamental courses such as Managing Projects, Risk Management and Scheduling and Cost Control or have some experience to the same level.
PgMP® candidates should have taken some of our advanced courses such as Programme Management, Leading Complex Projects, Negotiation Skills and Writing Statements of Work or have some experience to the same level.

Exam registration
To maintain your PMP® and PgMP® credentials, the PMI® requires that you earn 60 Professional Development Units (PDUs) every 3 years (for the CAPM® credential you need to take a re-exam after 5 years).
Each hour of learning on our public courses earns you one PDU. To find out how many PDUs you can earn per course, click on the course titles on our schedule. Our e-Training courses also gain you PDUs follow this link to see our e-Training PDUs.
To report your PDUs, you will need to submit a Professional Development Activities Reporting Form directly to PMI®. This form can be found on the PMI website at www.pmi.org
.
Activity reports will require you to provide a "Programme Number". This 12-character number can be completed as follows: The first four spaces, preceding the hyphen, are for ESI's "Provider Number:" 1038. The eight spaces provided following the hyphen are for ESI's six character course code (or Programme Number), specific to the class you've completed. Since all course codes are six characters long, report the first two spaces as zeros. ESI course codes can be found on the confirmation letter you received upon registration as well as in ESI's project management catalogues and the course pages on this Website.
